CornucopiaOur Mission Statement

To provide to low income families or families in crisis the essentials to establish or maintain a minimal standard of living while encouraging independence and self-sufficiency.

The Pleasant Valley Ecumenical Network is a network of area churches joining together in a cooperative effort to meet the needs of their community.

It is a tax-exempt, non-profit corporation located in the Western Pocono area of Monroe County, Pennsylvania.

The Community Service Center makes a difference in the lives of the people who are served and the community in which we live. When someone is helped with their physical needs, they can then focus on improving the quality of their whole life.

The help from PVEN allows the recipient to pursue emotional, social, educational, or spiritual goals with less worry about how physical needs will be met. Those served become independent, self-sufficient, and better citizens. Dignity is restored.

The Center is open to pick up food and clothing, no appointment needed, Tuesdays 9:30 to 11:30 am. The Center accepts donations of food and clothing on Tuesdays and Fridays, 9 to 11:30 am, with other times are available by appointment

Directions

We are in a retired church building at the corner of McIlhaney Road and Greenview Drive in Chestnuthill Township. From Route 33, take Route 209 South to Chestnuthill Diner. Just past the diner, make a right onto McIlhaney Drive. PVEN is located in the white church at the first intersection (formerly St. Luke's United Methodist Church).
